How To Use The Better Sleep Bulb

One bulb, three modes:

The bulb fits into standard E26 & E27 sockets.

It’s controlled by turning your regular light switch on and off. There’s no app, Bluetooth, remote, or dimmer required.

Rapidly cycling the bulb on and off transitions it between modes, from Day to Evening to Night.

If the bulb is turned off for longer than 10 seconds, it automatically remembers its previous mode when next turned on.

If you connect the bulb to a dimmer switch, leave the dimmer at maximum intensity and do not adjust. This bulb does not dim.

Day Mode → A full-spectrum, incandescent-like (2700K) white light that provides clear illumination to keep you focused and productive during the daytime, without making your body feel stressed, tense, or overstimulated.

Evening Mode → A dimmer, warmer (1800K) sunset tone that subtly relaxes you, lowers alertness and prepares you for rest by removing blue light, the same cue that nature provides to signal that the day has ended.

Night Mode → The dimmest setting with deep red (1200K) firelight tones that ease you into deep and restorative sleep, the closest thing to the darkness signal your biology needs at night, whilst still being able to see.

Blue-Light-Free Modes

Our Evening and Night modes remove blue and green light. the wavelengths present in sunlight that your brain reads as “daytime.”

Without those alerting signals, evening melatonin rises naturally, cortisol levels fall and your nervous system shifts into its nightly wind-down, allowing you to feel calm, settled and ready for deep sleep.

Blue Light Blocking Glasses Recommendations

There will be times when you can’t fully control your lighting environment, such as when travelling, working late, or spending time in brightly lit public spaces.

In these situations, amber or red-tinted blue light blocking glasses can help protect your circadian rhythm from the melatonin-suppressing wavelengths. They are a useful backup tool when your light environment is not sleep-friendly.
